Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

This holiday season don’t make your usual mundane cookies. Think outside the pan and try this delicious decadent skillet cookie instead. Don’t like chocolate chip? I’m going to share this rich and chocolatey recipe with you all, because I know you’ll love as much as we did. Alright enough fluff, let’s get this cookie party started!

Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large bowl combine sugar and butter and cream until fluffy, then add flour, cocoa, vanilla, chips, etc. (don’t worry you’ll get a full list of ingredients!) mix well. The batter should be thick and fluffy.

 

Once the dough is ready you can eat it by the spoonful pour it into a cast iron skillet and bake for 25 minutes.

While the cookie is baking, make your topping.

In a medium bowl combine cream cheese, coolwhip, pudding and sugar. Blend until all ingredients are combined . Spread on top of your cookie. Garnish with chocolate syrup if desired.

For the Cookie Dough
  1. 1 cup butter, softened
  2. 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  5. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  6. 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  7. 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  8. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  9. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
For the Topping
  1. 8 oz cream cheese
  2. 8 oz coolwhip
  3. 1 package of vanilla instant pudding
  4. 1 cup of sugar
Instructions

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  3. In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. (about 5 minutes)
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the butter mixture until well blended.
  5. Mix in the chocolate chips. Spread in the bottom of your cast iron skillet. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove and let cool.
  6. In a mixer combine cream cheese, coolwhip, pudding and sugar. Blend until well combine.
  7. Spread on top of your cookie. Garnish with chocolate syrup if desired.
  8. Serve and enjoy.
